Timi Komonibo is our founder and the Chief Philanthropist at Style Lottery. After years of hosting closet swaps for her friends, she started STYLE LOTTERY with the help of her friends Nieves Alvarez and Alexis Morris in 2013 to promote for sustainable fashion and fashion as philanthropy in the community. Style Lottery was selected as a recipient for the Fast Forward award to fund its fashion philanthropy efforts. In Spring 2014, Timi had the opportunity to give a TEDx talk at Syracuse University entitled “How I Found My Heart in a Walk-In Closet.” And in 2015, she and her team were awarded Syracuse University’s Orange Award for philanthropy. Timi has become a crusader for using fashion to sustainability and people to philanthropy. When she’s not giving away clothes, you can find Timi writing on her lifestyle blog, naturalechronicles.com
At Style Lottery, our support system is our lifeblood. We’re fortunate to have team members in different cities across the U.S. In New York, TNH leads strategy for our college campuses and Go Design Collective spearheads our design direction from DC. We are excited to be taking our Style Lottery campus ambassadors program to college campuses including Syracuse University, Howard University, and SUNY New Paltz. We’re looking forward to spread the Style Lottery love to more universities as we continue to grow.

Hello, my name is Allison Surgeary and I am an intern at the NYC-based, non-profit organization, “BirdsNest Foundation.” We are a production company that typically makes videos for other non-profits but with a heavy focus on healthy lifestyles and philanthropy. We are starting a project about young, female philanthropists in New York City and I came across your organization and we would love to have you participate in our project!

    Thank you.
